Your Tools Stay Ready with the Right Bag Placement
Right Side Vs. Left Side
Our Right Side Bags are designed to carry the tools you use in your right hand—hammer, knife, marking tools, etc. The bag layout is focused on tool storage, keeping everything secure but easy to grab.
The layout of our left side bags is focused on fastener storage and any tools you reach for with your left hand like a rafter square, nail puller, punches, chisels, etc. Left Side Bags are built to keep all these things organized and give you the ability to change out the Outer Bag to suit your needs.

Premium Leather
We use 7.5–8 oz chrome-tanned U.S. hides—nearly twice as thick as work boot leather—treated for water resistance and durability. High-wear areas get reinforced with 10–12 oz retan latigo leather for extra toughness.
Metal
Our hammer loops, tool hooks, and drill clips are built in-house from stainless steel—strong enough for years of abuse. Long D-rings stay upright under load, preventing unwanted movement.
Rivets
Built to last with solid steel rivets locking down critical stress points. Washers reinforce high-stress areas like the rafter square slot for extra durability. Chicago screws make it easy to swap out outer bags and accessories.
Stitching
We use heavy-duty size 277 bonded nylon thread, triple-stitching stress points and reinforcing with rivets to eliminate failure. Thoughtfully placed seams reduce wear, ensuring durability and a perfect break-in over time.
Frequently Asked
Questions
What’s the advantage of a modular tool belt over a stitched-in-place setup?
A modular tool belt gives you the flexibility to build your setup exactly how you want it. Need more fastener storage? Add a bag. Prefer your drill loop higher? Clip it where it works best.
Unlike stitched-in-place setups which are locked in place, modular systems let you tweak and adjust over time as your workflow changes.
How secure are the modular bags? Will they shift or sag?
Modular bags attach using heavy-duty leather loops and Chicago screws, keeping them locked in place while you work. They stay put, but they also give you the freedom to adjust your layout when needed.
If you’re worried about movement, using a well-balanced setup and properly securing each component ensures everything stays dialed in.
Can I add or remove bags as my needs change?
Yes. That’s the beauty of modular. You can swap out fastener bags, add auxiliary pouches, or clip on accessories as your trade or tasks evolve.
The system is designed for adaptability—without forcing you into a one-size-fits-all layout.
What’s the best way to configure a modular belt for my trade?
It depends on what you do. Framers might want large open fastener bags and a front tape pouch, while electricians might prefer dedicated storage for screwdrivers and wire strippers.
We’ve put together trade-specific setups to give you a solid starting point—check out the Shop by Trade page to see what works best for you.
Are modular belts compatible with suspenders?
Yes. If you’re carrying a heavier load, suspenders help distribute weight and reduce strain on your lower back. We offer suspender mounts that attach securely to your modular belt, keeping your setup balanced and comfortable.
How do I attach and adjust the bags on a modular belt?
Bags and accessories attach using leather loops and Chicago screws. To adjust your setup, simply loosen the screws, reposition the bag, and retighten. It’s a straightforward process, but if you need guidance, we’re happy to help.
Do the modular bags work for both left-handed and right-handed setups?
Yes. Unlike stitched-in-place systems (which are built for a dominant side), modular setups let you position tools exactly where you need them, whether you’re left-handed, right-handed, or prefer a symmetrical layout.
Are there weight limits for modular setups?
Technically no, but balance is key. Overloading one side can cause discomfort and throw off efficiency. If you’re carrying a lot of gear, suspenders help distribute weight, and choosing the right mix of bags keeps your setup feeling light and well-balanced.
