You pay exactly what the shipping carrier charges—no handling fees, no markups. Rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and package size.

If you’re working with a crew, consider bundling orders—a lot of teams do this to save on shipping.

Depends on what you ordered.

• In-stock items (tools, accessories, workwear) ship in 3–5 business days.
• Made-to-order bags (Modular & Stitched-In-Place) take 2–3 weeks to be built before shipping.
• Custom orders (special modifications, engraving, unique layouts) take up to 4 weeks.

To keep your shipping costs down, we ship everything together—so if your order includes a made-to-order bag, everything will ship once it’s ready.

Once your order is complete and leaves our shop, delivery times depend on your location and the shipping method you choose:

• Canada: Typically 5–10 business days.
• International: Varies based on location and customs but expect 2-5 business days.

Note: Once your order ships, it can take up to 3 days for tracking info to update, so don’t panic if you don’t see movement right away.

Akribis Package Protection is an optional add-on at checkout that covers your order if it’s lost, stolen, or damaged during shipping. If something goes wrong in transit, we’ll issue a refund—no hassle or claims with the shipping carrier.

We recommend adding it, especially if your delivery area isn’t secure, or if your order includes higher-value gear.

If you decline Package Protection, we can’t guarantee a refund for damage, loss, or theft after your order leaves our shop.

If you didn’t add Package Protection, you’ll need to file a claim directly with the carrier. Akribis Leather cannot guarantee unprotected orders once they’ve left our shop. UPS only insures packages up to $100.

Yes, we ship worldwide. Import fees and taxes are your responsibility and will depend on your country’s regulations.

We ship UPS Worldwide Expedited for all international orders. Basic brokerage fees are included in the shipping cost but tariffs and duties are not. Tariffs are set by your federal government and apply to goods from certain origins. These charges aren’t included at checkout, so check your government's current tariff rates before ordering. Akribis doesn’t have any control over these costs.

USA: Our leather goods are typically tariff free under our free trade agreement (USMCA), however, new tariffs on steel are now being applied. The steel content in our products is a very small percentage so the tariffs will be minimal. Tools will incur a tariff and have been temporarily removed from our site. Basic brokerage fees are included in your shipping cost, however, if tariffs are applied to your order your brokerage fees will go up.

EU & UK: Canada also has free trade agreements with your countries so you won't pay tariffs on our leather goods, you may on tools. You will pay extra tax due to VAT. Check your country's current VAT rate. Basic brokerage fees are covered in your shipping cost.

Every bag is available in a left-handed version, ensuring your left side is your dominant side for a setup that works naturally with your workflow.

Stitched-In-Place bags are built as a single, fixed setup—everything is locked in and won’t shift over time. It’s the most durable, streamlined, and balanced option since the weight is evenly distributed.

Modular bags give you the freedom to adjust, swap, and reconfigure your setup as needed. Outer bags, clip-on accessories, and aux bags can be moved or replaced, so you can fine-tune your rig as your workflow changes. Ideal for those who like to tweak their layout or carry different tools for different jobs.

Our leather bags are designed to be sturdy and durable. They may feel stiff or tight at first, but this is intentional to ensure a perfect fit over time. Here’s what you need to know:

• Tight Tool Locations: The tool slots are designed to be tight initially. This might be frustrating at first, but it’s to ensure they mold perfectly to your tools with use. For example, the pencil slots are intentionally tight. Working a pencil in and out for a few minutes will help loosen them up.
• Using Leather Balm: Applying leather balm can help soften the leather and speed up the break-in process. Any spot that feels too tight or rigid will soften with repeated use and leather balm.
• Stretching Techniques: For areas like the belt loop, which might be too tight to pull the belt through initially, we recommend using pliers to pull the belt through. This tightness is by design to account for the natural stretching of leather over time.

If you find certain spots too tight, use needle nose pliers to work the leather and help it stretch. This process might take a little effort initially, but it ensures that your leather bag will fit your tools perfectly and last a long time.

Akribis gear is built tough, but leather lasts longer with the right care. Here’s how to keep your setup in top shape:

• Regular Cleaning: Use an air compressor or a dry brush to remove dust and debris. Wipe with a damp cloth if needed—avoid soaking the leather.
• Conditioning: Apply Akribis Leather Balm periodically to prevent drying and cracking, especially if you work in harsh weather or around concrete dust. Mink Oil is not recommended for use with chrome tanned leather.
• Storage: Keep your gear in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ideally, store your setup on a shelf and avoid hanging it as the weight of your tools and fasteners will pull on the leather needlessly. If your gear gets soaked make sure to give it time to completely dry out.
• Avoid Chemicals: Harsh cleaners, solvents, and oils can weaken leather fibers—stick to leather-safe products.

The best way to break in leather is through daily use. Some tradespeople lightly flex stiff areas with their hands, but we don’t recommend soaking or over-conditioning—it can weaken the leather.

• Dry it slowly—stuff pouches with paper towels and let them air-dry at room temperature.
• Do not use direct heat (like a hairdryer or heater)—this can cause cracking.
• Once dry, apply Akribis Leather Balm or another conditional treatment to restore flexibility.

At least once a year, or whenever the leather looks dry. If you work in wet conditions, concrete, or extreme heat, you may need to condition it more often.

We stand by our craftsmanship. For all leather products, we offer free repairs on stitching and rivets within 1 year of purchase—just cover the shipping.

For tools and other gear, warranties vary by manufacturer, and Akribis honours those guarantees. If you need help with a warranty claim, reach out and we’ll assist however we can.

If you’re unhappy with your bag, we’d love the chance to make it right. If a solution can’t be found, you can return the product within 3 months of purchase as long as it’s new and unused. Use our Returns portal to submit your return application and print a shipping label.

We’ll issue a full refund, but original shipping and return shipping costs aren’t covered.

Akribis gift cards are flexible and easy to use. You can:

• Choose the amount you want to give
• Send it instantly or schedule it for a future date
• Personalize it with a message—or even record a video
• Use multiple gift cards on a single order
• Spend it over time—any remaining balance stays on the card

Gift cards are delivered by email and can be redeemed at checkout. They can’t be used to buy another gift card.
