B-Mash
We've had so many requests for this setup that we decided to make it a standard product. The B-Mash is a mash-up of the B-Mini dominant side and the B-Max non-dominant side. This hybrid setup gives you a more lightweight bag for your hammer and tools and a larger capacity bag for your fasteners. Streamlined on your hammer side while still having deep pockets on your fastener side. The Mini and the Max together at last!
Still works seamlessly with suspenders as the mounts are sewn in place.
Sizing: We make three sizes of B-Mash:
- Small: For pant sizes 30 and smaller.
- Standard: For pant sizes between 31 and 39. Measures 35" from the buckle to the first belt hole. 10.75" at the front between the left and right main bags.
- XL: For pant sizes 40 and larger.
We select the appropriate size based on the Pant Size you enter in your order. For a small, we remove the metal drill clip and bring the bags closer together. We will still include the clip and chicago screws separately so you can install it wherever you like. With the drill clip section removed the tape measure pouch will be slightly off centre. The only difference on the XL is that it has a longer belt, the bags remain the same. If you need a smaller or larger B-Mash you'll need to add the Custom Order option to your cart and request the size you need.

Should I choose Right-Handed or Left-Handed?
What’s the difference between left-handed and right-handed setups?
A right-handed setup places your most-used tools (hammer, knife, square, etc.) on your right side, while fasteners and secondary tools are on the left. A left-handed setup is a mirror image—your main tools are on the left, and fasteners shift to the right.
Every Akribis belt is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions, ensuring an ergonomic, efficient workflow no matter your preference. For modular setups, simply choose left-handed bags to configure your rig. For Stitched-In-Place belts, we offer fully left-handed versions where every pocket and tool slot is positioned for natural use.
What materials go into the Stitched-In-Place bags?
Premium Leather
We use 7.5–8 oz chrome-tanned U.S. hides—twice as thick as work boot leather—treated for water resistance and durability. High-wear areas get reinforced with 10–12 oz retan latigo leather for extra toughness.
Metal
Our hammer loops, tool hooks, and drill clips are built in-house from stainless steel—strong enough for years of abuse. Long D-rings stay upright under load, preventing unwanted movement.
Rivets
Placed for strength, longevity, and aesthetics, using solid copper and brass where needed. Chicago screws reinforce high-stress areas like the rafter square slot, adding durability, easy replacement, and a clean, polished look.
Stitching
We use heavy-duty size 277 bonded nylon thread, triple-stitching stress points and reinforcing with rivets to eliminate failure. Thoughtfully placed seams reduce wear, ensuring durability and a perfect break-in over time.
How do I attach auxiliary bags and accessories?
Our modular system is designed with flexibility in mind. Auxiliary bags, tool clips, and add-ons can be attached using leather loops, Chicago screws, or metal clips, depending on the accessory.
How long to break in my new leather bags?
Your bags may feel stiff at first—that’s on purpose. Leather stretches over time, and we build our bags snug so they don’t end up loose and sloppy after a few months. Give it 2–3 weeks of daily use, and it’ll mold to your tools and the way you work.
The best way to break it in? Load it up and get to work. The leather will soften, the pockets will form, and before long, it’ll feel like it was made just for you—because, in a way, it was.

I work doing a variety of tasks, remodels (including demo), light framing, finish carpentry, and occasional siding and window installation. I had been considering upgrading to an Akribis belt (from a generic leather belt) for a while, and after an end-of-year bonus from my employer I finally decided to pull the trigger on the B-Mash. And I am so glad I did. I was a little concerned that the bag placement on the stitched-in-place might not be exactly where I wanted them, but they're perfect. The layout within the bags for tools is spot on. The diagonal hammer sleeve is a big upgrade, especially when installing baseboard--it saves a lot of time versus reaching behind my back to put my hammer or mallet back in the loop of my old set. The fiberglass reinforcement around the edges of the fastener pouches means they don't collapse in on themselves and makes them much more useful.
I have a few quibbles, that are worth mentioning but not worth detracting from my rating. The tape measure pouch in front is generally useful, but is a hindrance when working on a ladder since it gets hung up easily. The front suspender loops can get in the way of the tool pouches, and I have to occasionally move them out of the way to get to a tool. And lastly, though these are heavy duty it does come as the expense of weight. They're not crazy heavy by any means, but they're heavy enough to notice. I will be trying suspenders in the near future, which should eliminate those last two concerns, for what that's worth.
All in all, these are great. Highly recommended!

Unbelievable product! This belt is beautiful. I opted to go all black and it looks incredible. High quality material with heavy duty stitching and hardware. Craftsmanship is the highest level. Most importantly- comfortable, fits great, easily adjusted and feels good all day. The front belt clip design is awesome and most the little features are very cool too.
I’ve been told I’ll get used to the front tape measure pocket but I’m not completely sold on it, though it’s really useful for all sorts of stuff wether it’s your tape or something else.
I’m excited about the years of use I’m going to get out of this and I’m referring all my coworkers.

I have been looking at getting the B-mini for about two years now but then saw how the b-mash is the perfect blend between the b-mini and b-max. And it is amazing, i upgraded from a small dewalt belt and i wish i upgraded sooner
