B-Max
A full-size, front-worn rig built for framing, forming, and heavy-duty work. The B-Max keeps your tools right where you need them with a quick-release front clip, suspender mounts, tool loops, drill clips, diagonal bar sleeves, a hideaway hook, and an interior stick nail sheath (fits up to 3 1/4” nails, 28–34°).
The layout is dialed for efficiency. Your tape measure, hammer, nail puller, rafter square, and stick nails all have a dedicated spot. The dominant-side bag has an interior divider to keep things organized, while the left side is fully customizable with your choice of outer bags.
The front-centered tape measure pocket makes access seamless with either hand, so you’re never fumbling mid-task.

Sizing: We make three sizes of B-Max:
- Small: For pant sizes 30 and smaller.
- Standard: For pant sizes between 31 and 39. Measures 35" from the buckle to the first belt hole. 11.25" at the front between the left and right main bags.
- XL: For pant sizes 40 and larger.
We select the appropriate size based on the Pant Size you enter in your order. For a small, we remove the metal drill clip and bring the bags closer together. We will still include the clip and chicago screws separately so you can install it wherever you like. With the drill clip section removed the tape measure pouch will be slightly off centre. The only difference on the XL is that it has a longer belt, the bags remain the same. If you need a smaller or larger B-Max you'll need to add the Custom Order option to your cart and request the size you need.

Should I choose Right-Handed or Left-Handed?
What’s the difference between left-handed and right-handed setups?
A right-handed setup places your most-used tools (hammer, knife, square, etc.) on your right side, while fasteners and secondary tools are on the left. A left-handed setup is a mirror image—your main tools are on the left, and fasteners shift to the right.
Every Akribis belt is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions, ensuring an ergonomic, efficient workflow no matter your preference. For modular setups, simply choose left-handed bags to configure your rig. For Stitched-In-Place belts, we offer fully left-handed versions where every pocket and tool slot is positioned for natural use.
What materials go into the Stitched-In-Place bags?
Premium Leather
We use 7.5–8 oz chrome-tanned U.S. hides—twice as thick as work boot leather—treated for water resistance and durability. High-wear areas get reinforced with 10–12 oz retan latigo leather for extra toughness.
Metal
Our hammer loops, tool hooks, and drill clips are built in-house from stainless steel—strong enough for years of abuse. Long D-rings stay upright under load, preventing unwanted movement.
Rivets
Placed for strength, longevity, and aesthetics, using solid copper and brass where needed. Chicago screws reinforce high-stress areas like the rafter square slot, adding durability, easy replacement, and a clean, polished look.
Stitching
We use heavy-duty size 277 bonded nylon thread, triple-stitching stress points and reinforcing with rivets to eliminate failure. Thoughtfully placed seams reduce wear, ensuring durability and a perfect break-in over time.
How do I attach auxiliary bags and accessories?
Our modular system is designed with flexibility in mind. Auxiliary bags, tool clips, and add-ons can be attached using leather loops, Chicago screws, or metal clips, depending on the accessory.
How long to break in my new leather bags?
Your bags may feel stiff at first—that’s on purpose. Leather stretches over time, and we build our bags snug so they don’t end up loose and sloppy after a few months. Give it 2–3 weeks of daily use, and it’ll mold to your tools and the way you work.
The best way to break it in? Load it up and get to work. The leather will soften, the pockets will form, and before long, it’ll feel like it was made just for you—because, in a way, it was.

It’s just super handy, I love it. The leather is perfect, and the craftsmanship, rivets, and stitching are magnificent. You can definitely tell it was designed and perfected by people who actually do the work, which makes it so convenient. I love the smell of the leather. It’s super comfortable to wear; my tools sit exactly where they should and my hands always know right where to go. As a core guy doing high-rise formwork, I truly appreciate having this awesome pouch set. My crew members are impressed and really like it, but most of all, I love how functional it is.
Tbh I have not used the bags on a job site yet. Although I spent a lot of time reviewing and researching my options and Akribis has the best reviews and best looking products. I waited with anticipation to get them., when I did I was not disappointed, thick tough leather, well thought out pockets, got the felt suspenders and they are very comfortable.. overall and so-far I’m very pleased.. comfy and balanced, rugged and durable, more pockets and places to put everything I could need. The trick will be to get the bags set right for each job as I won’t want to haul extra weight.. that being the only consideration, the weight.. I was going to go with the minis but ultimately decided on the flagship bags, they are not the lightest I’ve had, but obviously top quality. Cant wait to use em!

Absolutely love it. It was about 2 weeks from ordering to at my door, amazing. Fit is great, leather is very thick. Its a little on the heavier side when loaded but I mean what else is there to expect. Felt suspenders are great as well.

This is a high quality set of bags! The hammer sleeve could be a little bigger. My Stiletto with rubber grip does not slide in or out easily. Wood handle hammer works fine.
It is an amazing pouch, but it isnt what size it claims to be. I got a standard as it says it goes down to a pants size of 31, but it was way too big.
This set up for me being a 62 year old Army veteran with arthritis in my collarbones is worth every penny I’ve wore diamond back and other brands over the years trust when I say the Bmax is for me second to none
I spent a long time looking into which tool belt system would be best for me. I was fairly confident after watching many videos explaining how the B-max system was laid out & designed. Any doubt I had was gone the moment I tried my new belt on. I will be buying Akribis stitched in place bags for the rest of my life, but from the looks of it this one might just last that long.
Was worried my wrench had no spot but no there a percent spot for the wrench everything is so perfectly place all my tops are right where I need them and the pinch pouch added to the front left side is great, only thing is I woulda loved an extra sticker or 2 to had out I work with about 70 carpenters right now and all of them said they want to upgrade now I’ve been telling them it worth it

I can’t say enough kind words about this company, the product produced and the people behind the scenes. Thoroughly impressed across the board.
I dont online shop but I was really frustrated with rear tool belts and suspenders in Alberta where it’s -30 and I can’t reach the back pocket with all the layers on. I was tired of my square falling out every single time I got in the scissor lift and braking the cap off my pica pencil every time I carry something at waist height. It’s fixed all of it. The screw pocket is big enough there’s not hammer/glazers bar/nail puller jingling when I walk. I can crawl around in trusses or jump out of a lift onto a roof without losing half my crap on the guy below me. Suspenders feel really really good and I had an occidental pair before these which I liked but these seem to slip less. I haven’t figured out the padlock nail pouch yet I keep breaking Off clips so I’m just throwing them in the big pouch. Anyhow long story short happy I bit the bullet and made an online purchase it was worth the hype and more than twice the product of a box store nice belt at not that much higher of a price
