Akribis Line Anchor
The Akribis Line Anchor is a total evolution of a standard everyday tool. This is the only end hook of its kind, designed to eliminate the need for a helper, a temporary nail, or an awl when you’re snapping lines.
Built for speed and one-handed operation, the mechanics are simple: press the hook end to reveal a precision stainless steel pin, then press it into your material. It sets instantly and holds solid. No fumbling, no wasted movement—just a reliable anchor point every time.
Forged from heavy-duty plastic and stainless steel, the Line Anchor delivers a level of durability, efficiency, and ingenuity you won't find anywhere else... awl in one. Patent pending.
Stop hunting for a nail. Snap your own lines.

This chalk line hook is great—easily my favourite. A lot of my crew members notice it and like it, but for me, it just gets the job done perfectly. It makes my work so much easier, and I don't even need to drive a nail to hold the hook anymore. Just keep in mind that it's much larger than average—about two to two and a half times bigger.
Love em
Thus thing makes laying out stuff on the floor a breeze, super cool.... cant believe nobody invented it sooner..... only thing thatvwould make it better is if it was just a smidge smaller just a personal preference it is amazing otherwise
Great accessory ,love it
Hook isn’t super sturdy but the blade feature is awesome and works great
Works really well
These chalk box ends are amazing, no more setting nails or screws and definitely no more struggling to snap one handed. Durable for every type of material that the point can be set in. I even put them on my spare chalk boxes.
Awesome when working solo!
Super slick, love it
Fantastic product.
Great for angles, for staring lines in the middle of the board, love the size of it. Teeth on the end of it would make this product better when your pulling on materials not able to stab.
Best invention since sliced bread
excellent
Love this item im recommending it teo my boss
Used it to layout oak wall paneling, worked flawlessly. Genius idea and design. Keep up the great work!
Works great. Eliminates the need for a second guy
Love it so do my buddys
Don’t know why anyone else hasn’t thought of this. Huge time saver and worth every penny
works good when sticking it into lumber. I am excited for v2
I absolutely love this thing! The best of both worlds-- the hook works great and add to that the speed bump from not having to set a nail or screw when the hook won't work. Worth every penny.
Best one I tried so far.
In winter whether it jams a bit, but you guys are fixing that and sending out a new one so thanks for that. Great customer service, but I do feel like there should be some sort of notch in the housing that better guides the chalk line so you can get it more accurate on your mark when using the sharp knife portion of it. Also would like to see the hook a little deeper so it doesn’t pull off material as much as it does. But overall great product saves so much time would 100% buy more.
Got one for the whole crew and they all love it. Real time saver
Absolute game changer... taking the best part of a Japanese ink line and improving the concept and function.
The Akribis line anchor is hands down the best addition to any chalk like
Great product.Lookingforward to version 2.
Super pleased with the product and the thought that went into it. Not to mention that a1 attention to customer satisfaction
Very innovativ,
Metal hook in what im assuming is a 3d printed case not a good combination . I've already bent my hook and it wont retract. Can't really straighten it back because that would just Crack the housing . It's pretty much useless now
Thank you for your honest feedback, Chris. I am just replying here so other customers can understand the context. I know this is months after your review but for those who don't know Chris' feedback and others led to Luke redesigning the Line Anchor and releasing version 2. That new version was shipped out to everyone who ordered version 1 free of charge.
Good little tool , nice idea however it only last 1 week in cold weather;/ plastic fall apart
Thank you for your support, Jakub and your review. I wanted to leave a reply here so readers could have some more context. Jakub's feedback and others prompted Luke to revisit the design and address these issues. Version 2 was released and shipped out free of charge to all those who ordered version 1. That's why this reply comes months after the initial review.
Great design idea and works well. The things that I would change is the size. If it could be a bit smaller, although I’d imagine the strength might be compromised. Another thing I noticed was when I’m hooking on edge of materials it doesn’t grab edges as well as my other line hooks no issues yet but I think over time it may be an issue. a second bend or maybe a bit of a point that could dig into the edge would be better. Ive been using it daily framing homes and will let you knowhow long it lasts. I run a framing business in the Fraser valley.
Thank you!
