A rear-worn, stitched-in-place rig built for streamlined framing, renovations, and any job where mobility matters. Light and balanced while offering solid storage capacity and works seamlessly with suspenders. It sits back, stays balanced, and offers solid storage capacity.
It has dedicated spots for your tape measure, hammer, 7” rafter square, nail puller, and stick nails, plus room to expand. Standard features include an interior stick nail sheath (fits up to 3 1/4” nails at 28–34°), hideaway hook, suspender mounts, rafter square slot, and two diagonal bar sleeves.
Designed to work seamlessly with suspenders with the mounts sewn in place. Customize it with your choice of left-side outer bags, metal hammer loop, and optional add-ons like a micro square slot.
Sizing: We make 2 sizes of Framer-R:
- Standard: All pant sizes up to 39.
- XL: For pant sizes 40 and larger. The only difference is a longer belt, the bags remain the same and in the same position.
If you wear a size 36+ pant, the bags will sit further behind you instead of at your sides. The Framer-R measures 31” from the buckle to the first belt hole. If you need a smaller or larger Framer-R you'll need to add the Custom Order option to your cart and request the size you need.

Should I choose Right-Handed or Left-Handed?
What’s the difference between left-handed and right-handed setups?
A right-handed setup places your most-used tools (hammer, knife, square, etc.) on your right side, while fasteners and secondary tools are on the left. A left-handed setup is a mirror image—your main tools are on the left, and fasteners shift to the right.
Every Akribis belt is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions, ensuring an ergonomic, efficient workflow no matter your preference. For modular setups, simply choose left-handed bags to configure your rig. For Stitched-In-Place belts, we offer fully left-handed versions where every pocket and tool slot is positioned for natural use.
What materials go into the Stitched-In-Place bags?
Premium Leather
We use 7.5–8 oz chrome-tanned U.S. hides—twice as thick as work boot leather—treated for water resistance and durability. High-wear areas get reinforced with 10–12 oz retan latigo leather for extra toughness.
Metal
Our hammer loops, tool hooks, and drill clips are built in-house from stainless steel—strong enough for years of abuse. Long D-rings stay upright under load, preventing unwanted movement.
Rivets
Placed for strength, longevity, and aesthetics, using solid copper and brass where needed. Chicago screws reinforce high-stress areas like the rafter square slot, adding durability, easy replacement, and a clean, polished look.
Stitching
We use heavy-duty size 277 bonded nylon thread, triple-stitching stress points and reinforcing with rivets to eliminate failure. Thoughtfully placed seams reduce wear, ensuring durability and a perfect break-in over time.
How do I attach auxiliary bags and accessories?
Our modular system is designed with flexibility in mind. Auxiliary bags, tool clips, and add-ons can be attached using leather loops, Chicago screws, or metal clips, depending on the accessory.
How long to break in my new leather bags?
Your bags may feel stiff at first—that’s on purpose. Leather stretches over time, and we build our bags snug so they don’t end up loose and sloppy after a few months. Give it 2–3 weeks of daily use, and it’ll mold to your tools and the way you work.
The best way to break it in? Load it up and get to work. The leather will soften, the pockets will form, and before long, it’ll feel like it was made just for you—because, in a way, it was.

These bags are everything I dreamed of
I can’t take these bags off honestly, there is relatively no break in time, i’m a framer and have not had an issue getting used to my new set up. I find myself prideful in how much more I care for the bags and have decided I need another set to grill in the summer, I would be able to hold all my seasonings and spatulas without an issue. Work wise, they are heavy, but that is to be expected when you buy quality leather. They seem very durable and honestly the perfect set.

The Framer-R bags w/suspenders are perfect! The fixed placement of the bags on the belt is just right. Allows bags to hang back out of the way. They have reinforced area for your speed sqaure & trim sqaure. Plenty of places for cats paws & bars. Quality bags all around.

Great pouch, perfect for what I do, at firstI was worried about not having enough designated spots for small things but I was surprised how much thought was into this bag. I have massive open pouches for things like chalk line, screws, larger tape, string line. Etc with out it feeling restricted. And with lots of space for pencils, knives, nail punch, nails, flat bar, cats paw, and so much more. One draw back is on me is the bags fit father back than I like. They are not beside me it’s more near my but. Which will just be some getting use to. Other than that great product.
I love this belt. It looks great, and workmanship is top shelf . A very practical, and organized tool belt. I’m a carpenter that likes to be as minimal as possible, but this belt comfortably lets me fit all my tools I need for the day.
One thought: I ordered my framer-r with the micro square slot, I think the bag should be slightly bigger to accommodate some of the space lost.

Well made comfortable to wear could use a couple of adjustments, pouches could be brought forward a bit to rear wearing and could have used a couple more pouches on the left side ( I should have ordered but didn’t ) over all great would buy again

I haven't had the opportunity to use the pouch yet, but the build quality is excellent. The pouches are the right proportions and it has a Variety of holders for the respective tools. I was looking for a "Oxydental leather " quality Canadian brand , i found Akribis after doing some research, and would say Akribis fits the bill , and has created a strong brand that they can be proud of. Akribis , please do a big marketing campaign and get the name out there more! Canadian Trades people need what you make!

I am a framing carpenter with a size 32 waist. One size fits all pouches never quite fit me properly. The framer-r makes my days at work 100 times better. They’re a total game changer.
Really in love with the quality of this and wasn’t sure about the weight on leather material but it’s awesome, the bags are still a little far back from what I would have thought but probably the fact of a change to get use too!
