1. Wipe down the leather to get rid of dirt and dust.

Usage and how much balm left over

I did a coat on my whole tool belt suspenders and also my work boots with them and still had half a tin left, they look good as new! Great product!

Great balm, small tin.

I have a B-mini stitched in place with shoulder straps. I don't know much about leather, but it seems like a good balm. It's a small tin and i used about a 1/4 of one for the toolbelt. Consider buying multiple tins to save on shipping.

Condition it

Nice leather conditioner, get it and use it before you take your bags on their maiden voyage you will thank me later. If you have had good stiff leather bags in the past you know but for those of you just getting a taste of the best fitting systems available you will find out these are a pain in the keister. Leather fits better over time, to get them to do this they need moisture. Now most of us sweat quite a bit while working in the sun to help mold these bad boys but not enough right away. Use this balm to start the moisture integration and after some time you won't even know they are on. It smells nice and doesn't stain, what more could you ask for.
